A Paradigm Shift: Reflections on Equality
Exploring new pathways toward gender equality through shared understanding and transformative solutions
Invitation
In recent years, there has been a noticeable global backlash against gender equality. This trend is reflected in growing opposition to feminist movements and progressive policies. At the afternoon symposium, we would like to draw the audience’s attention to this phenomenon, increase understanding of its background, and consider its effects from the perspective of today's youth.
The event will be organised in connection with the International Gender Equality Prize. It is an award that honors significant global contributions to gender equality and is owned by the Government of Finland.
The afternoon symposium takes place in Maestro at Tampere Hall on Monday, 8 December. The prize will be presented at a private ceremony, which can be viewed online.
