We warmly welcome you to join us in Helsinki for our Nordic seminar, where we ask ourselves how cities can transform mobility and urban operations to support sustainable urban development? We will explore this question through different cases, which offer perspectives on how mobility, accessibility, technology and urban development can be integrated to create more sustainable, efficient and attractive cities.
Venue
The seminar will be held at the Finlandia Park Hotel, located in Käpylä, a neighborhood 5 km north of the city centre. Finlandia Park Hotel is easy to reach from Helsinki Airport by public transport. The most convenient option is to take a local train (P-line) from the airport to Käpylä railway station. The train journey takes around 20 minutes, and from Käpylä station it is approximately a 10-minute walk to the hotel.
Accommodation
Finlandia Park Hotel, which will also serve as the seminar venue, has provisionally reserved 22 rooms for seminar participants for 9–11 November. You can conveniently book one of these rooms through this registration page.
We have also taken travelling companions into account! Double rooms will therefore be available, and we will do our best to arrange them for those who need one. If you are travelling with a partner, please indicate this when registering.
We kindly ask you to register by 30 September, as the reserved hotel room allocation will be released after this date and we can no longer guarantee room availability and this special price.
You are also free to arrange accommodation elsewhere, but for practical and logistical reasons, we recommend staying at the seminar venue.
Price
The participation fee is 150 €, which covers catering during meetings, lunch (both days) and the excursion to Porvoo. And of course it covers sauna and sauna drinks for the ones who want to warm up after a chilly day in Porvoo.
Optional costs include:
- Accommodation at Finlandia Park Hotel (81 € per night, including breakfast)
- Dinner on Tuesday (65 €)
