A performance on the boundary between the living and the inanimate – where touch, control and vulnerability become intertwined.
The Machine of Life is a visually and sonically hypnotic piece in which the human being encounters technology in an intimate close-up. Light, sound, movement, and mechanical systems no longer function merely as tools, but as independent performers —as beings that breathe, react, and take up space.
On stage, a living machine is built: sensors listen, surfaces vibrate, algorithms suggest movement. The human body is part of this system – exposed, permeable, connected. Everything is porous. As other meets another other, something entirely new is being formed — in all its strangeness, something disturbingly familiar.
The work does not narrate; it happens. It invites the viewer to experience what it feels like to be both an agent and controlled, a subject and a part of a system.
Moving on the border between beauty and disruption, The Machine of Life opens up an intimate encounter with the systems we live within — and with the fragile body that still demands to be felt.
