Welcome to hear more about the new flagship supercomputer!

CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd. will conduct a LUMI webinar on Wednesday, 18 November 2020,  for the Turku area. 

The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) aims to create a world-class computing and data management research infrastructure in Europe. LUMI is one of the three European flagship supercomputers and it will be located in CSC's data center in Kajaani where it starts its operations in 2021. LUMI will be one of the world's best-known scientific instruments and leading platforms for artificial intelligence for the lifespan of 2021–2026. This will also open up new possibilities for companies to innovate and develop new data-driven business forms.

Join us to discuss how the Finnish research, development, and innovation field can benefit from LUMI and learn about the new technologies! The event will be held in English.

In the afternoon, researchers and research teams can meet with CSC’s experts in private meetings in order to discuss their research and the upcoming computing environment in more detail.

11:15–12:00 Lunch break (at own cost)

12:00–16:00 Meetings with researchers in Zoom
