Welcome to hear more about the new flagship supercomputer!

CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd. will give a presentation of LUMI on Tuesday, 17 November 2020, in the auditorium of Life Science Center (Keilaranta 14, Espoo).

Due to the current pandemic situation on-site participation is limited to 40 persons. It is also possible to participate in the event remotely.

The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) aims to create a world-class computing and data management research infrastructure in Europe. LUMI is one of the three European flagship supercomputers and it will be located in CSC's data center in Kajaani where it will start its operations in 2021. LUMI will be one of the world's best-known scientific instruments and leading platforms for artificial intelligence for the lifespan of 2021–2026. This will also open up new possibilities for companies to innovate and develop new data-driven business forms.

Join us to discuss how the Finnish research, development, and innovation field can benefit from LUMI and learn about the new technologies! The event will be held in English.

In the afternoon, researchers and research teams can meet with CSC’s experts in private meetings on-site or in Zoom to discuss their own research and LUMI in more detail.
