We invite all researchers, students and other persons interested in the Saami languages, literature and culture to attend the Symposium of Saami languages, literature and culture. It is possible to use all Saami languages ​​as a working language at the symposium. We have added Saami culture to the symposium’s topics, since it is an important part of the Giellagas Institute’s research and education.

The symposium is organized by the Giellagas Institute of the University of Oulu, the Sámi Sámi Giellagáldu and the student association Gieku in collaboration with Oulu2026, Ubmi University, UiT Norwegian Arctic University and Sámi University College.
