DESCRIPTION:The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland is organizing multiple side events in cooperation with international partners as part of COP28 UN climate negotiations. The events will take place in Dubai in December 2023.\nThe main themes of our events are sustainable and climate-resilient food systems. We want to bring together diverse actors from differents parts of the globe – changemakers\, as we see them. Our speakers include scientists\, policy-makers\, young farmers and activists.\nThe events are organized by the Catch the Carbon climate program for land use sector.\nWe warmly welcome all attendees of COP28 and online to discuss with us about the food systems of the future! All events will be streamed online and you will find link to the stream below each event description.\nIn addition to our own events\, we are partners in various other events in COP28. The projects create new knowledge on climate-sustainable solutions for forestry\, agriculture\, and other land use\, engage stakeholders and actors\, as well as reduce greenhouse gas emissions and enhance carbon sinks and reservoirs.​ Read more.
