DESCRIPTION:DeepTech Startup Ecosystem Workshop: From Research to Global Impact\nHow are world-class deeptech startups created? What enables research-based innovations to become successful international companies?\nThis interactive workshop brings together researchers\, students\, entrepreneurs\, investors\, innovation support organizations\, and Forest Joensuu stakeholders to explore the key ingredients of successful deeptech ecosystems.\nWith a special focus on forest bioeconomy and circular economy innovations\, participants will examine real-world startup journeys\, discuss commercialization challenges\, and identify opportunities to strengthen the regional innovation ecosystem.\nThe workshop is part of the Innokaupunki 3 (Innovative Cities) development initiative and is organized in collaboration with Business Joensuu\, the University of Eastern Finland\, and Forest Joensuu.\nWho should attend?\n\n\nResearchers and research group leaders\n\n\nStudents interested in entrepreneurship\n\n\nStartup founders and innovators\n\n\nInnovation ecosystem actors\n\n\nForest Joensuu stakeholders\n\n\nAnyone interested in research commercialization and deeptech entrepreneurship\n\n\nObjectives\n\n\nUnderstand how deeptech startups emerge and scale\n\n\nLearn from practical ecosystem and investment perspectives\n\n\nIdentify barriers and opportunities in research commercialization\n\n\nGenerate ideas to strengthen the regional startup and innovation ecosystem\n\n\nSpeaker and facilitator to be confirmed.\nMore information and registration details will follow soon.
