DESCRIPTION:What if education could be one of the most powerful drivers of sustainability transformation?\nThis course introduces principle frameworks and methods for integrating sustainability into adult education. This course can be modified to a 3-day\, 5-day or 7-day implementation\, depending on your organisation´s needs and Mobility grant. Please contact us for more details.\nLocation\nHelsinki\, Finland\n \nWho is this course for?\nThis course is designed for TVET and adult education teachers and other staff.\n \nLearning outcomes\nDuring this course you will improve your understanding of global educational frameworks for sustainability\, reflect on your personal competencies and nature relationships through engaging workshops and outdoor pedagogies. This course also presents a successful case example of creating systemic change in Finnish TVET sector by implementing a sustainability roadmap following the principals of the EU whole school approach. The course offers methodology and inspiration for adult education and integration possibilities and opportunities for sustainability.\n \nCourse themes\nThe main themes of the course are:\n\nFrameworks for sustainability education\,\nSustainability competence framework -workshops\,\noutdoor classroom and human nature -connectedness\,\nActive and structural competencies for sustainbility\,\nCase example on creating systemic change for sustainability in TVET\,\nCircular economics and experiential learning with companies.\n\n \nPreliminary programme\nDay 1 :\nIntroduction to sustainable development\nDay 2:\nIntroduction to relevant frameworks\, Sustainbility competences -workshop\nDay 3:\nOutdoor learning environments\, systems thinking and values\nDay 4:\nCase example: Creating systems change in the education systems for sustainability. Finnish Sustainbility Roadmap for Vocational education. Workshop on Organisational competencies\nDay 5:\nCircular economics and systems thinking. Hackathon workshop and excursion to science center\n \nRegistration\nRegistration closes two weeks before the course starts.
