The Finnish DMP consortium, CSC and EOSC Finnish Forum are organizing a data management plan (DMP) -themed webinar series during autumn 2022. Besides serving as a kick-off for the consortia's up-coming mapping of DMP tools, this series introduces dynamic DMPs, the capacity of the available tools to producing machine actionable DMPs as well as possibilities for organisation-specific integrations.
Machine actionable and dynamic DMPs (maDMPs) express information in more a structured way compared to the traditional free-form text documents. They allow automatic exchange, integration and validation of information provided in the DMP and can guide researchers in making good decision regarding their data management. maDMPs enable and facilitate the exchange of information between systems acting on behalf of stakeholders involved in the research life cycle, such as, researchers, funders, repository managers and ICT providers.
The series begins with an introductory webinar organized by the EOSC Finnish Forum and CSC, where we will hear about DMPs in an EOSC context and future prospects of machine-actionable DMPs from an organisational perspective (separate registration). The series continues with a demonstration of tools and focuses specifically on integration possibilities into the organization's own systems. Included are Data Stewardship Wizard, Argos and DMPonline. The webinars are held in English.
The webinars are open to all and will serve as a general presentation for those interested participating in the new technical working group of the DMP consortium.
