CSC – IT Center for Science Ltd. will give a presentation of LUMI on Friday, 9th of October 2020. The webinar is addressed to all interested parties in Lapland.
The European High-Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) aims to create a world-class computing and data management research infrastructure in Europe. LUMI is one of the three European flagship supercomputers and it will be located in CSC's data center in Kajaani.
LUMI will be one of the world's best-known scientific instruments and leading platforms for artificial intelligence for the lifespan of 2021–2026. This will also open up new possibilities for companies to innovate and develop new data-driven business forms.
Join us to discuss how the Finnish research, development, and innovation field can benefit from LUMI and learn about the new technologies! You will also hear how high-performance computing is being utilized at the University of Lapland. In the afternoon, there will be a possibility for researchers and research teams to meet with CSC´s experts in private Zoom rooms. The event will be held in English.
