Are you interested in understanding how sustainability is transforming business in Europe? Would you like to gain practical insights into the green transition and learn how policies create both requirements and opportunities for businesses?

This course dives into sustainability in business, particularly how to navigate in the green transition in the European Union. We explore sustainability in business through systems change.

Course content

The course introduces participants to the global strategies and agreements underpinning the European Green Deal, its policies, and its objectives. It explores how these policies create both requirements and opportunities for businesses. The course also examines the skills and competences needed for the green transition. In addition, it provides an introduction to the basics of sustainability reporting standards for large companies operating under the CSRD, as well as for other companies outside the scope of the directive that wish to respond to stakeholder demand (VSME). Finally, the course offers a gamified experience in the circular economy.

Daily program 

Day 1 Green skills for the green transition. How competence frameworks can be harnessed for individuals and organisations in the green transition
Day 2  Systems thinking and sustainability in business
Day 3  EU companies in the green transition: EU Green Deal, policies and strategies, EU Sustainable Finance Action Plan
Day 4  Sustainability Reporting in the EU (ESRS ja VSME Standard)
Day 5  Circular economics gamified workshop
