If you plan to achieve the COSO Internal Controls – Integrated Framework Certificate, this course is for you!

The purpose of the training is to give you a comprehensive knowledge on an effective internal control framework and to provide as good as possible chances of passing the COSO Certificate exam on the first try.

The requirements for good governance are more and more prominent, both in the public and private sectors. COSO Internal Control Certificate program gives you a unique opportunity to enhance your expertise on the system of Internal Controls, and prepare you to assess, plan, and execute it. As European Union requirements on non-financial reporting are becoming mandatory from 2024 onwards, the course will touch upon 2023 COSO supplemental guidance over sustainability reporting (ICSR).

The English-language course is led by Laura Sata-Leinonen, the Head of Internal Control at Neste.

Who is the training suitable for?

The course is aimed at Internal Auditors, internal control responsible persons, such as CFOs and Audit Committee members, external auditors, and risk management and compliance personnel with 2 to 6 years of professional experience.

The course contains three parts:

➡ A self-paced online training (in English)
➡ Classroom training (in English), with the option to participate remotely
➡ An online certification exam (in English), to be completed within 90 days

❗  To obtain the right to take the exam, active participation in the entire training and successful completion of the self-study portion are required.

There is no annual CPE requirement to maintain the COSO Internal Controls – Integrated Framework certificate.

What will I learn?

The program is based on COSO Internal Controls Integrated Framework (2013) and contains case exercises. The target of the course is to achieve good understanding of the COSO Framework. You will also get practical tools on how to use the Framework in improving control in your organization.

The program takes you through the Framework from start to finish and, through the use of real-world scenarios, allows you to:
