Cyber Risk & Value
26.3.2026 12:00
KPMG HQ
Join us to examine the cyber risks that matter in 2026. This afternoon event brings together expertise on AI implementation, agentic AI security, and the business impact of cybersecurity.
We'll address why AI projects succeed or fail beyond technology, explore the practical guardrails needed for deploying AI agents, and discuss how cybersecurity contributes to organizational value. The session includes presentations from industry and academic experts, followed by a panel discussion.
As part of a talk by one of our presenters, we invite you to complete an anonymous survey and contribute to a study. Results will be used for a study conducted at the Aalto University School of Business, with the topic discussed during the event.

13.00 - 14.15 Preparing for topical cyber risks in 2026
AI in practice: why AI projects are not primarily technical problems
AI projects rarely fail due to technology itself, but due to missing structures and assumptions surrounding it. This presentation examines why many AI projects stall at the PoC stage without delivering real value—and why some advance to production and generate returns.
Through examples, it covers what must be in place before technology, where governance helps (rather than hinders), and why licenses are easy to buy but change is often harder. Practical lessons for leadership from successful and failed AI projects.

Deploying agentic AI: security risks and critical guardrails
As organizations accelerate the adoption of agentic AI, it is vital to assess both inspiring opportunities and inherent risks. This talk explores the real-world technical and governance challenges of deploying AI agents that can access sensitive data and autonomously perform business-critical functions. We will examine common pitfalls along with security and compliance strategies to overcome them.
Attendees will gain practical insights into managing risk associated with AI agents' data access, decision making and autonomous activities.
