Midnight Sun Summer School 2023 

We are happy to organise again the annual Midnight Sun Summer School in Oulu, Finland on June 5th-9th 2023.

Welcome to Finland to experience the very long daylight hours when the Sun does not set at all!

The theme of the event is Professional Mentoring and Teacher Training School.

The heart of the course builds on research-based approach to high-quality mentoring. The emphasis will be placed on combining the theoretical basis with applicable practices. 

During one week Summer School participants will get a chance to  learn and to get experience about mentoring guidelines, practices, methods, and tools together with the experts and other participants.

Midnight Sun Summer School 2023 aims to enhance the participants’ professional competence by providing time to interact with the experts from Finland. 

In addition, we will hear practical experiences from the experts of Oulu University Teacher Training School how to implement mentoring with student teachers whom we have about 600 every year. In addition, mentoring may also take place between a senior and a newly qualified colleague.

Summer School participants will have a possibility to gain hands-on experiences on building trust and problem solving in teams. These essential skllls are important also in mentoring and they will be practiced at the beautiful and pure Finnish nature as we will enjoy pure Finnish nature on Wednesday. The experts will offer you possibilities to do exercises which you can also implement with your own mentees at your school.

Early Bird fee is available until March 31st for 790,00 e including 24 % VAT.

Regular fee is available during April 1st - June 5th for 815,00 e including 24 % VAT.
