We are pleased to welcome you to OPPIVA 2025 in Oulu! The Annual Meeting of Research on Learning and Learning Difficulties will take place at the University of Oulu Linnanmaa Campus from June 10th to 11th, 2025.

Conference programme

Keynote speakers
1. Professor Silke Göbel, University of York, UK
2. A second keynote speaker, nominated by FinEd, will be announced later.

Presentations and language of the conference
The conference will include paper and poster sessions. 
Paper sessions consist of 15–20-minute oral presentations of 4-5 papers, followed by a discussion with the audience. Each session will be moderated by the assigned chair.
Poster sessions consist of multiple posters where participants walk around and discuss with the presenters.
The language of the conference is English, but for the purpose of inclusivity, the presentation may also be delivered in Finnish, provided that the slides (or posters) are in English.

Abstract submission
Abstract submission for the OPPIVA 2025 is open from February 11th until April 11th 2025. Abstracts are submitted in the on-line submission system (Webropol). For more information and instructions, see the Abstract submission tab.

Conference fee
The conference registration fee is 50 euros and includes coffee and lunch. Doctoral researchers presenting at the conference can attend free of charge. The registrations of UniOulu staff members (excluding doctoral researchers) will be invoiced internally, and therefore you need to provide a cost center/project number during your registration. You can also register for a conference dinner at your own expense which will be held on Tuesday 10.6.
